Prof. Petra van Kampen
Petra van Kampen (1969) studied law in Leiden. She was sworn in as a lawyer in Rotterdam in 2001, after teaching criminal law at Leiden University as a university lecturer and obtaining her PhD there in 1998 based on expert evidence in criminal cases in the Netherlands and America. Since 2010 she is a (criminal) lawyer in Amsterdam. She specializes in fraud cases (including bribery cases), environmental cases and industrial accidents. In 2010, Petra was appointed professor of criminal law practice at the Willem Pompe Institute of Criminal Law at Utrecht University. Petra also teaches lawyers, among other things. She has a large number of publications in the field of criminal (procedural) law to her name.
Petra is a member of the Dutch Association of Criminal Law Attorneys (NVSA), the European Criminal Bar Association (ECBA), as well as its "sub-association", the European Fraud and Compliance Lawyers (EFCL).

Based on this registration, she is required to obtain ten training credits per calendar year in each registered principal legal practice area in accordance with the standards set by the Netherlands Bar.
